Itinerary

There is a schedule of local excursions by car provided in the package and you are able to select from a list on a daily basis or if you choose just explore on your own. Listed below are just some of the available tours to give you a flavour of Poland.

Torun:
A charming town, founded by the Teutonic Knights and the birthplace of Nicholas Copernicus. The town is situated on the Wilsa river 45 km from Chelmno. We recommend spending at least half a day in Torun where there is a beautiful old town, an ancient castle, museums and a planetarium.
This strategically located historic town is surrounded by many 19th centuary forts, one of which is open to visitors.

Radzyn Chelminska and Golub Dobzyn :
These are two smaller towns and  we will take you on a tour of the 13th century castle in Radzy Chelminska where you can scale the heights of the tower and see the impressive views afterwards taking refreshment at the nearby restaurant . Golub Dobzyn has an attractive town square overlooked by an imposing 14th centuary castle.

Chiechohineck:
This is a spa town situated around 70 km south of Chelmno. It has a unique system of evaporating towers to infuse the air with salt vapours, this trip also includes a visit to a five star spa bath where you can bathe in the salt water and relax in a new complex which includes a sauna, large spa pool with hydro massage and jacuzzi.

Starogrod:
Travel the pleasant country lanes to the small village of Starogrod site of an 18th century Baroque church and the site of a former 13th century castle. There is a short walk to a viewing point and picnic area with spectacular views down the valley.
